About Hunter Enos
I have always enjoyed engineering and STEM for as long as I can remember, inspired with a love for learning at a young age. What started as building with Lego has led me to here, a Master’s student at the University of Florida studying mechanical engineering. I enrolled at the University of Florida in July 2019 as an undergraduate student studying mechanical engineering and have stuck with it since. My freshman year I participated in VEX U, continuing my robotics involvement from high school. Since then, during my time here at UF I have interned at Pratt & Whitney in the Survivability Discipline Group, where I supported model builds, tooling design, and testing instrumentation. Currently I am interning at ANCORP part-time, where I have been a lead member in designing a new product for our vacuum chamber accessories. At UF, I am a part of the Nontraditional Manufacturing Laboratory, researching Magnetic-Field Assisted Single-Point Incremental Forming. Even outside of school you can find me designing and building. Whether it be messing around with my 3D printer, or building a Ping-Pong-Pool Table, I always seem to have a project going on in the background. But my engineering passion did not start at college, for I have long been involved in STEM activities, starting with a four-year engineering program (Project Lead The Way) in high school. In this class, I learned several engineering skills, such as 3D modeling, soldering, circuitry, and basic coding. All four years of high school I also participated in our county’s F.I.R.S.T. Robotics Competition team, where I was able to test what I was learning in the fields of mechanical, electrical and programming in a practical application. Go Team 180 S.P.A.M.!! My dedication and enthusiasm are evident through my 1,000 logged hours of participation, as well as my involvement in roles such as drive team member, ambassador, and Dean’s List nominee. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with friends and family. Growing up in coastal Florida, I like doing things in the water such as fishing, surfing, and wakeboarding, but in my time more inland at UF, I have enjoyed activities such as hiking, biking and Onewheeling. I like to watch movies and explore new music, as well as watch our Gators play on Saturdays.
