In this role, I experienced the competitive prospecting of new business in local and regional territories. This included cold and warm calling clientele to create new and maintain current relationships in the market. Networking is a large part of this role, and I conducted extensive market research on products and local business' to drive sales. I serviced customers by being their first line of contact, in and out of the office. I directly met with clientele to service their needs and maintain and grow relationships.I drafted extensive amounts of sales proposals, quotes, and contracts to meet the needs of clientele. This not only includes competitive pricing to the market, but higher standards in our quality of service. I set weekly, monthly, and annual sales goals with my branch and district managers, and took the necessary steps to exceed those numbers set in place. I frequently oversaw and managed my clienteles sales numbers and maintained relationships to help encourage and grow their business.A lot of the experience I used in my Inside Sales role overlaps with this role. This includes entering sales orders, scheduling deliveries, and creating and maintaining purchase orders of product. Also, I am more involved with my customers on their accounting side, by maintaining their invoices, credits, and statements.

I managed the purchasing and receiving of product for the branch, particularly for residential products. I helped create and utilize spreadsheets to aid in ordering product via Excel. I utilized information on our previous monthly, quarterly, and annual sales to project needs for coming months. I also analyzed the total and individual cost of our products to project our sales and predict purchasing. This information would all be compiled into Excel spreadsheets to predict purchasing needs. Once I placed, the purchase orders and they were confirmed with the vendors, I compiled them into spreadsheets with their quantities, cost, and projected lead-times. I consistently reached out to vendors for confirmations, invoices, and any maintenance required to purchase orders. I was involved in customer relations in addition to the purchasing side. I entered sales orders and assisted in the scheduling of deliveries. This ties back to the scheduling and management of purchasing product, because I entered and assisted in scheduling the sales orders. This aided in knowing when and which product is moving, in order to help predict future ordering needs. I communicated directly with customers and oversaw customer accounting. This includes analyzing their invoices, credits, statements, and so on.

This is where I was first introduced to and developed specialized customer service and teamwork techniques. This position required extensive knowledge of the products, which was required for the personalized service we provided to customers. I directly related with customers issues and questions, and helped provide them with products to directly fit their needs. I assisted in the purchasing and marketing of product. Our team would work together to propose what products to bring in, and advertise them in an effective way. We often worked in teams to market and sell the product. There were quarterly sales quotas that we worked together to achieve, and often we would have competitions and incentives to meet certain projections.
