Experience working in a fast-paced adult neurology clinic. I worked directly with one of our physicians and two of our nurse practitioners. I mainly worked with patients with dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, chronic migraines, and seizures. I loved working with older populations and helping these patients and their families navigate long-term conditions.

I worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Lodmell Laboratory at the University of Montana. The Lodmell Lab's research focus involves RIOK3, an understudied protein kinase, and it's regulation of the innate immune response to viral infections at the cellular level. In this role, I initially worked directly with graduate students to carry out experiments. As I gained more experience, I was given an independent project revolving around investigating protein-protein interactions during cellular infection with Rift Valley Fever Virus. I developed skills in project design, protocol writing, working with human cell culture, working in a BSL 3 lab with virus, conducting Western Blots, and preparing large-scale​ experiments for Mass spec analysis.
