Description:As the inaugural intern with the Investigative Services Branch at in the Atlantic Field Office, I performed a variety of office and field duties to help with investigations and law enforcement tasks. The Great Smoky Mountain National Park is the most visited national park in the country that provides a wide variety of search and rescue, Emergency Medical, and law enforcement task.. The Great Smoky Mountain National Park consists mainly of roadways and backcountry trails. Description: Cataloochee is a ski area in Maggie Valley, North Carolina. There are 16 skiable runs equaling out to 50 skiable acres. As a member of the Cataloochee Ski Area’s Ski Patrol I responded to reports of injured visitors on skis and foot. Injuries ranged from blisters to broken bones. Other responsibilities included marking hazards in the morning and clearing the mountain at night. Cataloochee’s Ski Patrol is a member of the National Ski Patrol. • Policed the mountain to ensure visitors were following North Carolina laws and the skiers code• First Responder to EMS situations on and off of the ski mountain • Transferred patients from my care to Haywood County EMS • Evacuated patients from the mountain using toboggans

Wildwater Ltd. is the oldest outdoor adventure outfitter in the southeast and operates on the Chattooga, Nantahala, Ocoee, and the Pigeon rivers. I operated non-power boats in hazardous and remote whitewater (class II-V) with fluctuating water levels and hidden obstacles. I performed my duties in varying conditions, from 100 degrees to below freezing temperatures, for long hours. During my time working for Wildwater I was trusted with more responsibility and received multiple promotions. As a guide, I was responsible for the guest in my raft. I then was promoted to trip leader which increases responsibility to manage an entire trip. As River Manager, I oversaw all happenings on the river. Telluride Ski Resort is located in Southwest Colorado in the San Juan Mountains. It is most known for its advanced ski terrain and has been ranked as one of the best ski resorts in North America. During my time as a lift operator I was tasked with the daily maintenance of my assigned lift. After my first season as a lift operator I was invited to come back for a promotion as a lift lead. As a lift lead I oversaw a group of five lifts. I used alpine skies to transport myself between my lifts. My main job was to ensure that the lifts were up to the Colorado Passenger Tramway Safety Board. My job responsibilities included:• Communicated on a radio to dispatch and other mountain operations like ski patrol• Demonstrated in lift operation and safety by utilizing The Colorado Passenger Tramway Safety Boards rules and standards• Ensured safety of lift loading and unloading zones with regular maintenance • Responded to injuries or technical issues on lifts• Experienced Expert Skier• Worked outdoors in various conditions
