Co-Lead on McDermott’s generative AI data and innovation projects, including testing Microsoft Copilot.Created "Form Finder": A service for M&A/PE+ Finance attorneys using an AI platform that allows us to analyze a Purchase or Credit Agreement received from opposing counsel, instantly compare it to every purchase or credit agreement we have worked on and, based on a similarity score, determine whether we have prepared comments or fully negotiated the same form of Purchase or Credit Agreement before. Form Finder was a finalist for tech innovation awards by The American Lawyer and Financial Times and winner of Tech Enabled Corporate Department of the Year at Legalweek.Developed an AI platform and process to profile 1200 M&A/PE + Health deals and deployed this data in our M&A/PE Matter Hub: An amazon-style search platform to locate past purchase agreements with filters like client role, closing date, deal value, agreement type, opposing parties, counsel + industry along with links to the final agreements, closing binders, billing and timekeeper data for each matter.Implemented an attorney-facing search tool for our Corporate Finance practice with over 35 data attributes across 3 years of data. Developed a market study using custom AI models to review 3 years of Health PE deals + a data visualization tool that allows us to understand “what’s market” for nearly 100 of the most heavily negotiated items associated with these matters comprising 600 total PE Deals.

Artificial Intelligence: Led Sidley’s innovation efforts in deploying AI technology across M&A/PE, Real Estate, Global Finance and Capital Markets global practice groups. Significant hands-on experience in testing AI on LIBOR transition issues and training AI to recognize custom provisions. Experience Management: Helped lead Sidley's adoption of Foundation, experience management technology, in all of its global transactional practices. Since full implementation in 2020, Sidley's M&A/PE League Table Rankings jumped into the top 15 in nearly every major category. Created the first "Deal Database" to serve as (i) a pricing resource where lawyers can budget, plan and staff matters, (ii) a precedent locator to find similar transactions and opposing parties, (iii) an expertise locator and (iv) a source to generate Chambers submissions, customized pitch materials and league table information in minutes versus days. Document Assembly: Led Sidley's document assembly efforts, which now include Real Estate Lending Forms, Global Finance Opinion Letters, and Energy Fund Formation agreements.Supervised 5 full time KM lawyers in M&A/PE, Insurance, Capital Markets, Tax/Employee Benefits and Investment Funds. Working with these groups to create practice Collaboration Sites, enhance library resources and deploy new technology, including our new Enterprise Search platform.Conducted “What’s Market?” symposium for clients and Sidley attorneys highlighting market terms for some of the most heavily negotiated agreements in our acquisition, disposition and finance transactions.
