Growing up in north Georgia I was always curious about the nature I was seeing around me. That curiosity led me to want to pursue a career in the environmental sector. As a high schooler, I worked as a trail builder constructing and maintaining park trails across north Georgia and southeastern Tennesee. These opportunities taught me skills in forestry such as erosion control techniques and a broad knowledge of outdoor tools. Inspired to learn more from my high school years, I went to college to study environmental science and eventually added a minor in geoscience. During college, I worked with groups such as the "Voters of Tomorrow" and "Project Safe-Flight" to gain experience in research methods and politics. Additionally, I used the skills from my background to volunteer and eventually manage the "GSU Rooftop Garden" providing produce to the "panther's pantry" in an effort to solve food insecurities affecting the university staff and students. Over the years, I have developed additional skills in topics such as GIS, Microsoft products, Ground Penetrating Radar, water sampling, and project coordination.
