The Bronx

Peer Counselors (PCs), synonymous to RA, are students who live alongside students and serve as leaders as well as resources for their residents. Trained each year in topics such as: student development and transitions, listening and referral skills, recognizing students in distress, and community building. Host eight community programs per semester on topics of social justice, independent living, fostering ownership, and active citizenship.

Greater New York City Area

I conducted 90-minute informational tours of the campus for prospective students, parents, and other visitors up to four times a week. As part of this skill set, I was required to maintain levels of energy and bring novelty into every tour. I catered my repetitive performance into a genuine and unique experience for each of our visiting groups. In the office, I assisted with a full range of administrative and hospitality tasks including answering phones and emails, filing and mailing, and serving as the public face of Bard, as well as training the next generation of tour guides.

Greater New York City Area

I lead Bard College’s 30+ member EMS squad. The director manages the many administrative and professional responsibilities, and is democratically elected by squad members. Within the squad, I oversaw the hiring process, training and promotion of members, maintain quality assurance and improvement of care, lead biweekly squad meetings, and maintain compliance with federal, state and college regulations and policies. I was the squad liaison with college administration, college health services, college security and Dutchess County emergency fire/rescue squads, and maintain communications with other college EMS squads nationally.http://student.bard.edu/ems/

Bard College Reem-Kayden Science Center

I processed monthly analyses of water samples from local Sawkill watershed, obtained by community members. I have familiarity with lab protocols and procedures for turbidity, BOD, CDOM, and IDEXX operations. I worked as hired intern for professor Dueker during summer 2017, and volunteered from there.
