Instructor Pilot
Current
Upgrade Instructor
At T-6A Pilot Instructor Training I attended classes, trained in simulators and the aircraft (68.5 flight hours), took tests, and several check rides. I became proficient in flying and instructing T-6A mission sets to include transition and contact, low-level and navigation, instrument, and formation. All of this culminated in a check ride that consisted of my T-6A qualification check, mission check, instrument qualification check, and instructor check.
Student Pilot
Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training was a 52-week course that demanded a professional attitude toward flight discipline and airmanship. I successfully passed several checkrides in the simulator and aircraft in transition/contact, navigation and low-levels, instrument procedures, and air mobility fundamentals (air drop and aerial refueling). In the T-6A, I obtained over 70 hours in the plane and over 37 hours in the simulator. In the T-1A, I accrued over 65 hours in the twin-engine jet, and over 48 hours in the simulator. After 292 hours of classroom instruction and 11 tests, I maintained an average of 96.1% on subjects including instrument and navigation procedures, weather, aircraft systems, aerodynamics, mishap prevention, aerospace physiology, and crew resource management.Near the end of training, I was ranked amongst my peers and was selected from them to stay at Laughlin AFB as a T-6A First Assignment Instructor Pilot with the 85th Flying Training Squadron.
Casual Lt
Worked for the 47th Security Sq at Laughlin AFB. As a member of Bravo Flight, I checked IDs at the gate, patrolled the base, and assisted in exercises to further the development of new defenders.
