In Logistics I worked with a large team of employees. Tasks included transportation management and supply chain coordination. I was responsible for ensuring that deliveries were unloaded and loaded in a timely manner and placed properly. I also had to submit case files for damaged product as well as in depth Microsoft Excel sheets to document our receiving of products. In addition, the largest goal completed was getting our damaged product case file acceptance rate from 54% to 96%, which dramatically increased our compensation for product that was damaged upon arrival. In addition, I had to complete audits of products to ensure the goods were flowing as they should be in our system. During my tenure I also was accepted into a mentorship program with our Business manager where I worked alongside him as he showed and taught me the in-depth processes of managing the monetary side of the store briefly.

In sales I was responsible for providing sales assistance, customer service, stocking and preparing space for product, marketing products appropriately, making logistical changes to allow more product, and assisting our design team with proper display of product. My biggest accomplishment in this role was selling an additional 120 units of tiles by researching customer activity and seasonal products. I had to be knowledgeable about the products and be able to answer any questions customers might have. I also had to be able to suggest products that would fit their needs. While being responsible for stocking shelves and making sure that the store was well-maintained. Finally, I had to be able to assist the design team, this included helping them create attractive displays and making sure that they were properly labeled and organized. From this position I moved to our Logistics department.

I was responsible for overseeing children as they were playing, monitoring and leading my team of employees to ensure the highest quality of childcare. Additionally, I was also responsible for assisting with possible injuries, stocking, and rotating product, and providing a safe yet fun environment. I had to be aware of any potential risks or dangers that might arise, such as allergies or medical conditions. I had to be able to respond quickly and appropriately in order to ensure the safest environment. Overall, my job was to provide a secure and enjoyable environment for the kids while ensuring that all safety protocols were followed. It was a rewarding experience and I enjoyed being able to help make a difference in the lives of the children.
