More recently, Moss has been in the position of Principal, President and Chief Operations Officer of Field Pros Direct (FPD). FPD, a tech-focused third-party administrator, was selected for cohort two of Lloyd’s Lab in 2019 and was identified as one of the Top 2000 fastest growing companies by Inc. in 2021. Moss was also the founder and Chief Executive Officer of AI Inspections (AI). AI Inspection leverages artificial intelligence technology to provide insurance carriers, managing general agents, third-party administrators, underwriters, and claims personnel across any line of business, the ability to build enhanced data more consistent while fully automating policy inspections, claims reviews and premium audits.

Preceding his tenure at FPD and AI, Moss was Principal and Chief Executive Officer of INK Underwriting (INK) as well as Principal and Chief Executive Officer of Commodore Insurance Services (CIS). INK, a holding company, which invests in insurance-related entities ranging from insurance startups to strategic acquisitions that include: wholesaler, MGAs, risk retention groups, captive reinsurers and third-party administrators. During Moss’s time as CEO with INK, he successfully navigated MGA acquisitions across the United States, formed a U.S. capacity provider, focused on securing long-term stable markets, leveraged third-party administrator’s relationships as well as continued to develop distribution relationships across the country. This included the acquisition of a Southern California MGA in which Moss, working with the C.E.O, tripled the premium over the course of three years while also maintaining an underwriting profit. In addition to a focus on stable and controlled MGA growth, some of Moss’s other duties include overseeing the results of these companies, managing investor relationships, engaging with private equity dealings, overseeing all corporate legal matters, as well as developing growth initiatives, and managing the diligence, acquisition, and integration of investment opportunities.

Former to INK, Moss served as Chief Operations Officer for Accident Insurance Company (AIC). While with AIC, he assisted the enterprise with ongoing growth to include securing an A.M. Best “A” rating as well as playing a vital part in expanding AIC from writing one line of business in a single state to a multi-line carrier with premium in over 17 states. During that tenure, Moss also held an executive position and key role in the growth of one of the largest wholesalers and MGAs in the country representing $1billion in premium. As part of those endeavors, Moss also formed and was Chief Executive Officer of a third-party administrator which managed personnel and mutli-lines claims across the United States.

Other roles previously held by Moss were Founder, Principal and Chief Operations Officer of US Administrators, LLC (USAdmin). USAdmin was a wholesaler, managing general agency, and third-party administrator in Atlanta, GA. His responsibilities included overseeing all operations of the enterprise which consisted of information technology, underwriting, sales, compliance, agency commission, claims as well as program management. While in that role, Moss grew the organization from infancy to over $250 million in premium across the United States. In addition to wholesale and MGA efforts at US Administrators LLC, Moss helped US Administrators LLC form a mutual captive insurance company which is domiciled in Georgia and continues to insure many employers in the state today.

Prior to USAdmin, Moss held positions as Director of Claims, Director of Operations and Director of Information Technology at Builders Insurance Group. Moss, one of the four original founders of Builders Insurance Group, worked directly with the CEO and Board of Directors on corporate matters and profitable premium growth. During his term, Moss helped convert Builders Insurance from a self-insured fund to an A.M. Best “A” rated mutual captive insurance company which became the largest single writer of workers compensation insurance in the state.

In the years preceding Builders Insurance, Moss held positions as Eastern Director of Claims at Physicians Corporation of America (PCA) where he oversaw the eastern half of the United States as well as their information technology efforts.

Ultimately, Moss’s career originated over 29 years ago at Gulf Insurance Group as a claims adjuster where he ultimately grew to managing their workers compensation and residential property claims department for the Southeast. He then left Gulf to become Claims Manager, Chief Information Officer, and Chief Operations Officer of a successful, Georgia based third-party administrator.
