During my summer internship at Legacy Property Management, I acquired comprehensive hands-on experience in various aspects of property management and home improvement. My primary focus was on the home improvement and remodeling side of the business, where I worked on renovating and fixing both residential and commercial properties. This role allowed me to gain technical skills across a wide range of areas, including:Painting: Preparing surfaces and applying various types of paint to achieve high-quality finishes.Electrical: Assisting with basic electrical repairs and installations, including wiring and fixture setup.Plumbing: Handling minor plumbing repairs and installations, such as fixing leaks and replacing fixtures. To comprehensive re-plumbing of mobile homes.Flooring: Installing and repairing different types of flooring materials, including hardwood, and LVP.Cabinets: Assembling and installing cabinetry for kitchens and bathrooms.Framing: Constructing and repairing structural frameworks for walls and partitions.Drywalling: Hanging, taping, and finishing drywall to create smooth surfaces for painting.In addition to these core responsibilities, I contributed to property management maintenance by addressing repair issues for tenants, ensuring their needs were met promptly and effectively.I also had the opportunity to engage with various professionals within the company, including lawyers, accountants, and property managers. These interactions provided valuable insights into their roles and how they support the company’s operations.This experience not only enhanced my technical skills but also improved my project management and problem-solving abilities, while giving me a broader understanding of the property management industry.
