An adaptable professional receiving a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Business Management from North Carolina State University. My studies and experiences have molded me into into a confident and strategic leader who is quick to learn from others. I am seeking positions within the Agriculture industry in the Eastern North Carolina area.My background revolves heavily around my agriculture based community. I have been involved within agriculture in some capacity for nearly my entire life. From a young age I was involved with my local 4-H chapter, where I gained livestock experience through raising and showing swine. I was very involved with my FFA chapter in high school as well. Also, I have many years of vegetable production experience that has allowed me to gain a great deal of agronomic knowledge as well as financial experience from day to day farm operations. I have been able to make many connections throughout the agriculture industry through these experiences and learn from some of the best in the business.Additionally, my volunteer experience through Ducks Unlimited has allowed me to work with others towards a common goal and express what I am passionate about. I feel that these firm conservation beliefs I possess coupled with my passion for agriculture will allow me to be a huge asset to the future of a sustainable agriculture industry.I welcome all connections from NCSU Alumni as well as professionals within all aspects of the agriculture industry.Clifton Strengths: Adaptability, Harmony, Analytical, Deliberative, Restorative

Small Scale Vegetable ProductionHunter Rhodes Apr 2007 - PresentBegan growing vegetable crops at a very young age, experimenting with different techniques to increase yield, improve quality and produce a desirable product. Began growing 3 to 5 acres annually of mostly watermelons and succulent peas while also operating a pea shelling facility, allowing me to provide a more desirable product and increase sales. This experience allowed me to gain real world agriculture business experience and a greater knowledge of the agriculture industry as well as the sweat equity and other inputs required to produce a marketable product along the way. Obtained a private pesticide applicator license, configured custom fertilization and pesticide application rates, applied pesticides, fertilizers and cultivation with agriculture machinery, analyzed soil reports and prior field history to construct a proactive and sustainable plan for each field in production. Implemented a proactive integrated pest management plan to reduce the costs of pesticide use and labor while providing a higher quality product to customers. Selected seed varieties ideal for the soil types of each field, providing optimal yield and quality. Harvested and marketed crops to both wholesale and retail buyers in local markets, making connections and building relationships throughout the agriculture industry.
