I am a seasoned industry professional that has spent much of their free time learning about spirits and craft beer. During my tenure in Flagstaff, Arizona, I had the pleasure of running two of the best cocktail programs in town. From menu creation to inventory to staffing, all aspects of the bar fell under my direct supervision. As a young manager, I took it upon myself to learn as much as I could about the bar industry- its histories, its science-everything I could. I told myself what I lacked in experience, I would make up for in knowledge. While managing SoSoBa, I was able to win Best Bartender of Flagstaff within my first 8 months of employment. At Brix, I was taught the basics of wine styles and tasting. At every place of employment, I have hoped to gain more than just another bullet point on my resume, but rather experience that would supplement what I am passionate about. I am proud to say, in my years of service “behind the stick,” I have been able to acquire both my Cicerone beer server certification as well as a BarSmarts certification.
