As a GOMBU Wells Intern I performed a tool analysis study on the Rigscope Deltascope tool for use during completions operations within GOMBU. During this project I performed a feasibility study for use of this tool on two GOMBU rigs (DCQ and DS-18). I studied depletion effects during frac jobs and also completed a risk assessment for implementation of the tool. I was also able to work collaboratively with Completions Engineers, BOP Engineers, Subsea Intervention Engineers, and Third Party Personnel.

As an Offshore Production Engineering Intern with Anadarko Petroleum Corporation I was able to work alongside Operators, I&E Technicians, Mechanics, Electricians, and various other positions on the Heidelberg Spar as well as the Holstein Spar. While working I was able to be a part of various jobs such as the changing of a seawater lift pump, a boarding valve, proving LACT's, the cleaning of a dry tree test inlet heater and many other jobs. I made daily morning rounds looking at the Turbine Compressor, Vapor Recovery Unit, and the Flash Gas Compressor taking data from them as well as checking to make sure it was in working condition. While being on the platform I was also assigned the task of creating a Process Flow Schematic of the Heidelberg Spar using the Visio design program.

As a Production Engineering Intern I was able to participate in ride alongs with lease operators and well technicians to help in their daily duties. While riding with them I was able to inspect treater rooms, change separator dumps, clean/grease wellheads, inspect pumping units, shoot fluid levels, and review dynacards. Throughout the summer I was also assigned a project studying the effects of interwell communication before, during, and after frac jobs were done. I looked at production data to see if the surrounding wells were affected positively or negatively using the program carte. I also looked to see if any damage was done to the wells by looking at the program openwells.
