Amiable: Many of my peers and fellow professors explain that the reason I am so personable is a result of my empathy. As a former Lieutenant at Culver Military Academy, I was not only in charge of those in my platoon, but I was also responsible for their actions. Having the title of Lieutenant meant that when members of my platoon needed help in school, drill, or other personal reasons, I was there to ensure the well being of all. I have the ability to put myself in others shoes and understand what they are going through both physically and emotionally.Tenacious: Waking up before reveille to iron my shirt and shine my shoes before marching to breakfast taught me the importance of not only proper routine, but also diligence. I love what I do, no matter what it is, because I find a way to appreciate everything the sport, class, or job has to offer. Although I may be single-minded when participating in an activity, I do so because I am fully committed and invested. Giving it my all is all I know and I enjoy surrounding myself with people that share the same mentality.Conscientious: As a former student at Culver Military Academy, valuable life lessons such as self discipline and genuine communication skills were instilled in me at a young age. I pride myself on the effort I put into everything in life, whether it be in the classroom, on the job-site, or in my personal image. My coaches, teachers, bosses, and military mentors have all told me that I will go far, regardless of what path I choose, so long as I continue to outwork those around me.
