I began working for Hy-Vee in 2015 as a courtesy clerk. Over the years, I have practically worked at least a few shifts in all the departments. I have primarily worked as a Pay-Station clerk, Asian Express clerk, Deli clerk, and Bakery clerk. While obtaining my undergraduate degree in Lincoln, I transferred to a store there and worked in the Deli.

For the 2020 and 2021 summer seasons, I was the Head Coach for the Millard Sox JV Gold baseball team. Being a head coach had been a dream of mine ever since I was a kid playing the game. The two seasons of being a head coach were better than I could have ever hoped. I am thankful for the mentors who provided me with the knowledge and tools required to be in the head coaching position. For both seasons, I had amazing assistants who were excellent at coaching the young men on the teams and helping me carry out my plans. They worked incredibly hard and are a big reason why the teams had their moments of success. The best part of being a coach is getting to know and developing young men as baseball players. My philosophy was to work with each kid on the team and make them better both on and off the field before the season ended. I wholeheartedly believe my staff and I were able to accomplish this as we genuinely cared for each one of our players and did our best to put them in the best position for success. I am thankful for having the privilege to coach the young men I did. I have built relationships with them and continue to watch them accomplish amazing things. Some of the players I have coached have gone on to play college baseball. I am honored to have had the opportunity to coach so many amazing young men. I hope they learned valuable skills and life lessons from my staff and me that will help them be successful.

For the 2019 summer season, I was an assistant coach for the Millard Sox Varsity Gold baseball team. I primarily worked with coaching the outfielders and catchers. It was an incredible experience coaching and mentoring an awesome group of young men. The young men I had the privilege of coaching bonded together and competed really well against the other teams in the state. I also loved being a part of a staff with two other men I looked up to and learned a lot from. After the season ended, I knew I wanted to keep pushing myself and earn a head coaching position. Thankfully, that opportunity opened up, and I accepted the head coaching position for the Millard Sox JV Gold team in October 2019.
