I am a dedicated finance major who is very excited to get started in the industry. Throughout my time at Carroll, I have grown to love finance and have a particular interest in the investment field. I have acquired plenty of skills in financial analysis and am excited to continue using my skills both personally and professionally.As my time at Carroll comes to an end, I have been able to reflect on what I have learned while here. At Carroll I have become very proficient in Microsoft Excel which has proven extremely vital thus far. Additionally, I have been gained tremendous analytical and statistical knowledge. I am looking to apply these skills to a job in the investment field. I feel my time at Carroll has given me all the tools to become a great worker in this industry.While in school I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to intern at Artisan Partners. My 8 months at Artisan taught me a lot about the industry and has given me plenty of tools to apply as my career continues on. One of the most important tools I was able to continue to grow with was Microsoft Excel. Artisan allowed me to problem solve and come up with solutions using Microsoft Excel. While at Artisan I also became very familiar with financial securities. I have worked with all kinds of securities but predominantly bonds, loans, and equities. At Artisan I have grown to understand indicators of the general health of a security based on daily price movements. Working with these securities everyday has continued to grow both my knowledge and interest in the investment field. I am excited to continue to grow and become a professional in the industry. One of the most interesting things I was able to use at Artisan was Bloomberg. I was granted daily access to a Bloomberg terminal throughout the summer. This was my first time using Bloomberg and being able to use it every day was a lot of fun.The last three years of my life have been extremely enlightening and taught me a lot. While it has not been easy, I have pushed through and am looking to graduate early in May of 2025. I am extremely excited to graduate and continue to grow both as a person and professional.
