While at AWA, I have managed countless projects in the Metro Nashville area with a heavy concentration on custom residential infill, renovations and additions. We work quite extensively on historic residences at AWA and as such, I have an in depth understanding of historic, architectural detailing and construction methodologies for a wide array of house styles and decades. I am a part of all aspects of the design process and see a project through from SD to DD to CD to CA. While managing these projects, I maintain consistent communication with clients and contractors, providing required insight and information throughout the project lifespan.

During my undergraduate studies, I was employed for the university-based design firm, AMSi, led by Neal Downing. Under his direct guidance and observation as a licensed architect and AMS department head, I and another student employee were responsible for the production and development of detailed construction documents and digital renderings for various custom homes and renovations in the greater Warren County area. Programs used included AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and various Adobe programs. All work was performed while maintaining full-time enrollment at Western Kentucky University.

Under the supervision of a licensed architect, I was responsible for the aid in production of construction documents and plan details for the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame, Hopkinsville Community College, and various Owensboro Health projects through the use of AutoCAD and Revit. My summer spent at Hafer is one that proved to be crucial, as it was my first exposure to a working, architectural office.
