General Manager
Smithfield, North Carolina
Becoming General Manager at age 25 and leading a team of people older than you has it's challenges. I love a challenge and took full advantage of the opportunity to lead.My responsibilities included:- Building a company, culture, and brand from scratch!- Handle all sales and marketing. Taking our company(just one market) from $0 to $22M in revenue in less than 5 years. This included creating and expanding new relationships with both residential and commercial/multifamily customers. I started, maintained and managed 3 social media platforms. - Hiring and firing - recruiting and training top talent and holding everyone accountable. Maintaining low employee turnover and focused on promoting from within.- Creating operating procedures for a start up company with expectations for massive growth. This includes everything from onboarding new employees, vendors, and subcontractors to work flow processes for estimating, purchasing, project management, invoicing, warranty and everything you can think of in between.- Create and maintain new relationships with vendors and subcontractors.- Negotiate new deals each year as our company grew including pricing structure, terms, and rebates.- Navigate company structure changes. I managed all company operations and employees until 2 of my employees moved to start new branches. After helping them for a few months our company split credit and estimating to corporate. - Much more.
