At the time of writing this, it is only week 2 of the internship and we're off to an exciting start, Hot off the tails of the conclusion of the pandemic restrictions, it is a great experience to be able to work in the office in Chicago instead of at home in front of the computer. So far, I am working on a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing certification, and have been assigned to work on some client work, another metals company, one of the biggest producers in North America.Post Internship:Being able to spend time with Crowe has provided me with some incredible hands-on insight into the consulting world; experience that will certainly shape some upcoming career decisions, and help to establish the foundations of a successful future. Getting to travel out of state to work hands on with a client was a fascinating first experience that I certainly look forward to again in my future career endeavors, no matter the field!

Although the internship was virtual due to the pandemic, it was an excellent way to get my feet wet in the world of consulting and taught me a lot! There was a special focus on Microsoft ERP systems, working virtually in groups and innovating for future products. I also created and presented a Power BI presentation, importing SQL data, for one of the largest steel and aluminum service centers in North America, which was used in future internal conversations.
