In this position, I aided in the design and fabrication of mechanical systems in the field of energy transformation. This role involved the creation of components and assemblies, as well as engineering drawings with GD&T per ASME Y14.5, using SolidWorks. I collaborated with a team of engineers to analyze efficiency, longevity, and safety of innovative systems.

During this internship with MTech Mechanical, I rotated through three different departments. I worked in operations shadowing a Project Engineer. During this rotation, I reviewed submittals and drawings in order to track the progress of special projects jobs. I then spent a month working with the engineering department calculating heating and cooling loads. I was exposed to Trane Trace 700 software to size equipment for prospective jobs. Lastly, I spent one month on site with a pipefitting crew. During this field rotation, I installed copper supply and return lines to serve HVAC units on site.

I was responsible for ensuring that golf carts were staged and members' clubs and carts were prepared. I also replenished the supply of balls at the driving range when necessary. At this position, I also cleaned golf clubs for the members as they finished their rounds, and cleaned the golf carts before parking them. This job required both organization and communication skills.
