Worked on the OS for the primary compute units of autonomous vehicles as part of the Robot Software Infrastructure team.

Worked on several projects as a part of the Hack Language and Hack Compiler teams:* Worked across several teams to manage safe rollouts and prompt incidentresponse for new Hack programming language features.* Drove the “Typed Systemlib” project, translating the core of the Hack language fromuntyped PHP code to typed Hack code, de-risking future language evolution andpreventing a class of runtime failures.* Worked with partners across the company to prototype Hack modules (https://docs.hhvm.com/hack/modules/introduction), a language feature for codeencapsulation.* Unblocked “Declaration Driven Bytecode,” enabling more expressive languagefeatures for the Hack language.

Worked as a software engineer on the Hack Foundation team:* Planned and executed automatic code migrations ("codemods") over a multi-million line code base to increase backend performance and improve code quality.* Instrumented the Hack type-checker and runtime to ensure breaking compiler changes did not impact application performance or correctness.* Maintained internal codemod toolchain, automating updates to better handle upstream breaking changes.

Worked on the Hack Product Infrastructure team on projects in the Hack language. Improved and refactored standard data types and abstractions used internally at Facebook.

Worked with Professor Michael Clarkson to develop a new logic system for verifying security properties: HyperLTL, an extension of linear-time temporal logic. Focused on writing a mechanical proof of soundness using the Coq Proof Assistant.

Worked in the Platform Infrastructure Engineering Group on projects involving the core technologies used at Akamai Technologies, primarily in C/C++.

Lead a set of game design classes over the course of the summer, educating teens aged 13 - 17 in the use of professional level game design tools such as the GUTS Editor from Runic Games, the Unreal Development Kit from Epic Games, and the Hammer Editor from Valve.

Redesigned and managed the website for the 2011 and 2013 campaign of David Gelfarb for County Legislator of District 6 in Westchester, NY.

Worked as an intern developing software with Javascript for the Liquid Galaxy platform, and used Kamelopard, a Ruby library, to generate and render Google Earth tours. Worked primarily in a CLI Unix environment for the entirety of the internship.

Tutor local students in high school level mathematics including Algebra I and Geometry.
