Hello! My name is Hunter, and I am the Oregon QPR statewide coordinator with a passion for mental wellness and suicide prevention. With three years of experience in actively promoting mental health for communities in Oregon, I've developed a keen understanding of the challenges faced by individuals in need of mental healthcare. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Oregon and have completed relevant coursework in public speaking, thesis seminar, and Reacting to the Past courses. These courses have strengthened my current ability to engage with the public effectively.My experience includes coordinating mental health trainings for diverse audiences, reducing suicide rates by equipping over 1000 individuals with QPR training, and creating new training tools and hosting learning collaboratives. I am dedicated to ensuring that everyone, regardless of their background, has access to equitable and affordable healthcare, including mental healthcare.In my free time, I enjoy exploring new adventures, learning more history, and staying active in political discourse.
