Executive Director of the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA), an infrastructure bank that helps Georgia's cities and counties elevate their water quality and improve their energy efficiency. With deep experience in leading teams to achieve a shared vision, Hunter is responsible for leading GEFA to continue to conserve and improve Georgia's energy, land and water resources. Hunter has a Bachelor of Science degree in general management from the United States Military Academy at West Point. Additionally, he graduated from the U.S. Army Airborne school, the U.S. Army Air Assault school, and the U.S. Army Ranger school. Hunter served as a Lieutenant and Captain in the United States Army; the Vice Chair of the Georgia Senate's Majority Caucus; the chair of the Senate Veterans, Military and Homeland Security Committee. Hunter is currently the Board Chair for the Warrior Alliance, a non-profit serving Georgia's military veterans. In 2018, Hunter was a Republican candidate for governor of Georgia.
