•Oversee FAS's partnership with the Center of Regulatory Excellence at NSCU comprised of a team of international subject matter experts to support the harmonization and adoption of trade facilitative MRLs and regulations.•Coordinate the agency's joint-residue studies in collaboration with the Minor Use Foundation to generate residue data on specialty crops to establish new Codex Maximum Residue limits (MRLs) to bolster the FAO/WHO Codex Alimentarius, facilitate the flow of international trade, and support food security initiatives by ensuring that farmers have access to new, safe, and efficacious chemistries.•Develop technical strategy and implement capacity building programing across Asia, Africa, and Latin America aimed at building robust pesticide regulatory systems and supporting the development of science-based regulations. Priorities include risk assessment, harmonized pesticide and biopesticide registration systems, and import tolerance programs.•Support the Standards and Trade Development Facility (STDF) funded workstream on chemical residue mitigation through the harmonization of regional biopesticide registration systems to facilitate alternative and supplemental methods of crop protection in the face of climate change.

• Support American farmers and federal food assistance programs including the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR) through the procurement of domestically produced commodity food products • Administer and manage the process of soliciting grain commodities and awarding contracts totaling upwards of 5-million dollars to vendors on a quarterly and bi-annual basis• Collaborate with stakeholders including USDA vendors, foodbanks, and designated school warehouses to assure timely orders, deliveries, and payments of grain commodities• Manage the procurement of grain commodities to support the 1.2 billion-dollar United States Trade Mitigation Program designed to assist American farmers against tariffs imposed by foreign nations

• Assisted the Agriculture and Food Security team with managing a portfolio of USAID-funded programs that provided technical assistance to agricultural producers, agribusinesses, and that supported nutrition and food security in Latin America and the Caribbean • Researched and analyzed agricultural value chain opportunities in Latin American countries• Investigated business development opportunities in the field of agriculture and food security in Latin America• Attended public meetings and events on relevant agricultural topics hosted by local organizations and think tanks• Reviewed Monitoring and Evaluation data for quality/completeness and helped to keep the Monitoring and Evaluation database up to date

• Created the farmers’ association The Bongo Agriculture Producers Association (APAB) to unite under-served coffee farmer in rural Panama• Wrote and managed a $6,500 grant from World Connect USA for the construction of an operations facility and the purchase of processing machinery in order to improve APAB’s processing efficiency and production capacity by 44%• Worked with various goods and services cooperatives throughout the district, as well as the Panamanian Agriculture Development Ministry (MIDA) to find new markets and business opportunities for APAB• Led more than 20 training sessions for APAB on coffee farm management, farm registries, and business management
