I graduated from Morehead State University where I pursued and completed their Convergent Media program. I focused specifically on news-style writing during the program and was published multiple times in professional papers. However, our training and education in news writing were designed to allow the method to be applied to a spectrum of writing. I received practical experience in these methods through 4 semesters working in and with the university newspaper, and as an intern for the university’s Sports Information department. In this, I prided myself in thoughtful application of the inverted pyramid, attention to detail, dedication to tight deadlines, and effective communication with my editors, team members, and department heads. For these reasons I believe I would be a valuable writing asset. I am always open to new opportunities.
