At 5 years old, Hunter’s engineering background started when he built room defense contraptions for his little sister to protect her from any imaginary “bad guys” that might want to do her harm. From there he knew he had a passion to build things that would improve people’s lives.Plasma Games was formed to empower teachers and to inspire students by providing them with the world's most engaging and impactful learning technologies so they can solve our country’s biggest problems. The US is 26th in science and 35th in math in the world (OECD 2015). Countries like Vietnam, Slovenia, and the Czech Republic are increasingly out performing our students. The shortage of qualified STEM professionals is holding back economic growth and causing us to lose jobs to other countries. The hole in our workforce pipeline starts in middle and high school where students are disengaged and fail to find a passion for STEM. Old and antiquated technologies simply bore modern students. Cheap gamification techniques where the learning and gameplay are separate are not effective at engaging or teaching this generation of savvy digital natives. For example, the typical educational game on the market will ask students to correctly answer questions about the Periodic table and, if they do so, it makes a virtual race car go faster. The question has nothing to do with racing or cars and, so, is separated. This generation sees right through this and it might as well just be a quiz. Plasma Games’ cutting edge learning platform empowers teachers to reignite classroom discussion, connect with students, and inspire the students to pursue STEM careers -- boosting our economy by fusing learning and game content while connecting it to real world.

Partner And CtoIntelligent Floatation Devices Jul 2007 - Jun 2011As a part of a team, I designed and built the first intelligent floatation device by developing sophisticated algorithms which were implemented by programming a microcontroller that read sensor inputs to determine when a dog or a child is about to drown and then would deploy a floatation device saving the loved one’s life. Additionally, I assessed the demand through market research, conducted manufacturing cost analysis, developed a business plan and formed LLC to take product to market.
