For the last decade of my life, sporting clays has been a passion of mine. My passion for this sport has continued throughout college as I am now a member of the Auburn Clay Target Club, a club sport where the team can practice and compete in sporting clays as well as other shooting sports. I have taken the role as treasurer this year. As the treasurer, I prepare budgets and financial statements for team operations, provide financial counsel to other team officers, negotiate and execute vendor contracts for large purchases such as uniforms and ammunition, plan and execute spending related to team competitions and travel, and work closely with Auburn University Fitness and Wellness Center to ensure adherence with university policies.

West Marine is a boating and fishing retail store with more than 200 locations all across the country. As a cashier, I completed sales at the main register. Additionally, informed customers of sales, memberships, and protection plans. My work was not limited to the cashier, I was also responsible for closing and opening the store, providing assistance to customers, stocking shelves, and maintaining company standards in cleanliness.

Over the course of two months I taught techniques, form, etiquette, and strategies to improve ones shooting capabilities. This was entirely a self employed operation, where I contacted various people within my area regarding lessons. Lessons could be purchased in hour long increments and I charged a unit price per hour. The majority of my clients were youth shooters, who had little experience, but aspired to improve their shooting capabilities. From my lessons, they were able to gain significant information to better their performance on the course, and improvement was visible almost immediately.
