We were able to study the "how's" and "why's" behind decisions that were made when constructing the park or new offerings. Did you know that the custodial cast members at Disney wear all white resort wide to ensure that they are able to move about any area of the park without looking "out of place"? This was one of the things I learned that I would of normally not have thought about! We were also able to volunteer our time with the VoluntEARS team. Activities I was involved in included charity shows, food drives, and school functions.EARN: I spent my time with Disney with their Main Entrance Team for both the Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure. Some of my tasks were processing guest ticket media upon entry to our parks, performing guest control to ensure safety and efficiency, and spieling to our guests to ensure they were aware of current operations.After my program, I remained seasonal.

Glide is an instant video messaging platform that allows you to connect and watch videos in real time as the user is recording them. This app was slightly unique as it had an immense impact on the deaf community. Since the technology was "hands-free", users were able to use sign language while recording. This niche that was created immersed me into such an inspiring community of wonderful people that I previously had little communication with. Although I do not sign, I could see the passion in these individuals and it was an amazing project to be involved with.
