About Jacob Hurlbut

Jacob Hurlbut is a Assistant Director, Hockey Analytics at Philadelphia Flyers at Philadelphia Flyers. They is proficient in French. Colleagues describe them as "Jake joined the Student Social Media Team in Spring 2013, just a couple of months after it was created. Since then, Jake has been the brains behind a number of several creative projects and initiatives that have led to St. Lawrence's social media presence earning national recognition and awards. Jake's expertise with software and technology was such an asset to us when it came to large projects, team communication and even the smallest of assignments. When I think of what the liberal arts teaches us about the important skills we need to be successful, Jake embodies all of them - strong written and oral communication skills, the ability to work well with all types of people, critical thinking - but he also brings a very specific technical skill set that makes him unique and a joy to work with. He has been a wonderful team leader and even though he was busy with his classes, jobs and other groups he was a part in, he always made the team a priority (despite it being a volunteer position) and never backed down from his commitment to me and the group.
