CurrentThe Miller group is a well known and respected Road and Bridge Constructor in Ontario and Canada.My role is as follows:-Prepare and draft Construction Claims for unresolved Claims at Field level and Extension of Times for Miller nationwide-Draft Mediation Position Summaries, Adjudication Position Summaries and Arbitration Summaries- Reporting to the Director of Contract Compliance- Actively participate in Mediations and recently Adjudications under the new Construction Act- Launched an electronic contract retention system nationwide- Developed and implemented a 100 page Best Practices Contract & Risk Management manual- Developed Best Practices for Holdback Collection and Cash Flow-Manage the electronic contract retention system-Coordinate with relevant personnel from operations to support and assemble claims submissions-Participate in developing and implementing protocols and procedures-Assisting the Director with Contract issues that involve litigation or potential litigation-Collaborate closely with the Director, Contract Compliance on Claim & Process Standardization-Subcontract Management - coordinate with operations to issue, negotiate, monitor and track all subcontracts to ensure consistency across the organization and full understanding of the contract obligations-Utilize CCA and CCDC Subcontract Agreements and tailor short agreements for small construction work-Review terms and conditions of Subcontracts for other divisions of Miller that work as a Subcontractor-Maintain the master database for all subcontracts-Monitor and maintain subcontractor evaluations-Enforce the standard evaluation program throughout the company for subcontractor ratings-Coordinate with operations to ensure evaluations are completed and recorded in the central database-Proposal Writing - Assist in the coordination, scripting and production of Design-Build proposals-Maintain master database of issued contractor ratings for the organization
