As a response to these needs, 5G promises higher efficiency and automated operation. The goals of this cooperation are to develop efficient monitoring and analysis tools for 5G networks, new mechanisms that ensure flexible resource allocation and new ways to implement services.The consortium is implementing a solid infrastructure to support the research and innovation activities. It deploys a fully-fledged 5G system at the Budapest InfoPark Campus site, built from commercial 5G components provided by Ericsson. We are working on demonstrating 5G specific use cases on top of this infrastructure, showcasing the 5G answers given to the complex challenges of specific industries, the verticals.Currently, we are focusing on two verticals with major economic and social impact, highlighting the added value of selected 5G features to both smart agriculture scenarios and real-time automated control of industrial cooperative robots.
