Until recently, Habibah was using direct marketing with local & conventional sales and distribution channels. I have joined in the midst of the corona crisis to open new opportunities to the company; establishing the sales and marketing department, creating a three-year strategy and a one-year operational plan. In my rather short stay with the company, I was able to:start major export efforts and partner with distributors in Bahrain, Kuwait, South Africa and Canada. During six months, the export business grew from 0% to become 20% of the total annual sales.diversify our portfolio of brands as we started a new brand and created new local sales channels for it.develop new product lines in partnership with the manufacturing experts in the company.

Client enablement (also known as “non-financial services”) supports the Microfund for Women loan clients (mostly women-led small businesses) to improve and sustain their businesses.Through my role, I have:Established “MFW Learning Academy” which started as an idea in 2016 and now has 9 branches across Amman, Madaba, Jerash, Irbid and Mafraq. So far, it delivered hundreds of training and graduated more than 17’000 attendees on various topics including: ideation, business modeling and planning, marketing and sales. (to accommodate coronavirus in 2020, 7’000 people attended via e-learning).Created a retail store “Souk Baladna” with an online portal SoukBaladna.com to promote and sell the clients’ products.Fully designed and implemented a customer loyalty program: the first of its kind in the microfinance market, where commitment to timely payment is rewarded with reduced fees or cash payback.Mentored tens of small businesses to improve their business skills and product offerings.Led a team of 4 people; designed the team strategies, goals, work plans and budget.

Yadawii is an online store for authentic handmade and home-made items, we used the e-commerce portal to market and distribute local ladies’ handicrafts all over Jordan and worldwide (both in retail and wholesale). Yadawii started in “Queen Rania National Entrepreneurship Competition” and was awarded a prize and a special recognition for social impact.As a team of two, my business partner and I were handling all aspects of the business.
