I am a Senior Economist at the Suez Canal Authority. My major role involves conducting Macro and Micro Economic Analysis for the various aspects of the Global Shipping Market; to determine and measure their effects on the volume of traffic through the Suez Canal, and to develop dynamic pricing strategies, and the underlying toll and tariff structures, for the different types of vessels transiting the Suez Canal. My role also includes covering the evolving and shifting trade patterns, particularly in light of the rapidly changing landscape of global trade, and the growing role of industrial policies in shaping the flow of global investments and altering future trade patterns. In addition, I closely monitor the geopolitical environment throughout the world because it is crucial to the worldwide movement of major commodities.
