Hussein Chipala holds masters of science degree from Ege University, Turkey, He also holds Bachelors of Education from University of Malawi. Hussein also holds post-graduate certificate in public management from Florida International University, USA. Hussein has been working tirelessly in environmental conservation and community development. He was a 2016 national winner for conservation award from Energy Globe. He also won many awards such as young global achievers from International Global Solution. He also won a flagship fellowship from Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young Africans Initiative in 2017.Hussein Chipala has been working very hard in environmental conservation in Malawi. Working with the non-governmental organization he co-founded called Tingathe Development Forum (TIDEF), he has managed to heavily campaigned for environmental conservation. He has also been championing for animal welfare in order to reduce cruelty to wildlife animals and domesticated animals. We have been going to farm owners and other communities who raise different kinds of animals including to schools in dissuading any kind of cruelty to farm animals and wild animals. Moreover, we have been championing for non-animal protein growing and consumption in order to reduce layering for farm animals for protein sake which has resulted into unfair treatment of animals. We have also been raising awareness to fishing community and fish farmers on the proper handling of fish since in Malawi fish has been exposed to a number of ill-treatment since there is no campaign of animal welfare due to lack of funding for animal welfare projects.We have also been involving the community in tree planting exercise in order to improve biodiversity in many communities in Malawi.Tingathe Development Forum also work for community Development and has run many projects to uplift extremely poor peoples’ lives.
