 Provide engineering support on all structural designs and provide conceptual structural design solutions Review and approve all design calculations, FEA, analysis, layouts, fabrication drawings, documentation of various rig equipment’s. Manage and supervise all design engineers and draughtsman. Responsible in developing procedures and implementations.  Ensure project start-up and required drawings and documentation are completed on time. Provide technical oversight and coordination of work through project, coordination meetings and other mean. Monitor progress against project schedule, recommend allocation of resources as required to accomplish goals. Interview and hire new staff. Communicate with customers, provide technical assistance, and equipment operation guidance. Liaise with other departments (I&C, production, sales, electrical, commissioning, QA/QC, Etc.) Represent NOV engineering departments in API Q1 latest editions (4F,8C,16C) audits in UAE, Saudi, Indonesia. Visit the production facilities, rig up assembly yards, and rig operating sites when required assistance.  Assist the aftermarket department with engineering guidance and solutions including API 4G and other standards.

 Supervise and lead structural and mechanical engineering team. Review and approve all design calculations, layouts and fabrication drawings of various rig equipment. Ensure all designs meet the latest industry standards (API, ABS, ASTM, AISC steel construction....) Design travelling blocks as per API 8C standard. Design and model land rig’s structure (mast and substructures for API 4F latest editions), grasshopper, engine house and other back yard equipment. Design and model land rig trailers (500Kips power trailers, "single, double and 3 pumps" mud pumps trailers, VFD trailers...) and suspension systems.  Design and model mud system tanks, mud gas separators, and low-pressure piping system  Design and model 45 degrees land rig elevator (personal lift) Design choke, kill line and high pressure piping & equipment up to 15000 psi working pressure (API 16C, API 6A, ASME BPVC IIIX DIV. 2, API 6X, ASME B31.3) Expert in SolidWorks, ANSYS, SAFI structure, AutoCAD, FEA analysis and simulation, Teamcenter, and manual calculations Prepare for external audits (API, ABS, DNV) for the engineering department’ designs and calculations to comply with latest standards Visit rigs sites and rig up yards for inspection and maintenance of structural components and moving systems Review and approve material test certificates, material deviations and alternative sections during construction
