Responsible for overseeing all technical issues related to the erection & installation of control systems, field instrumentation and instrumentation (I&C) equipment and all mechanical packages/systems I&C components for projects supporting the Company's power business.Coordinate with process, and mechanical Engineers assigned to the project and prepare technical memorandums and develop design criteria, SCADA system architecture, process, and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), SCADA network diagrams, process control functional narratives, control schematics, panel layout diagrams, and interconnection diagrams.Assist Project Manager with planning, developing project scope of work, budgeting, cost estimating, and project scheduling tasks.Support electrical engineering and developing electrical design to support the I&C systems design.Conduct factory testing, site acceptance testing, field checkout, and startup of I&C and SCADA system startups.Review program process control logic in PLCs and configure graphical HMI for SCADA system on a variety of platforms.Configure historical data collection, archiving and generating reports on a variety of platforms.Produce effective and accurate written specifications for implementing I&C and SCADA projects.Review procurement documentation ensuring that Contractor is fully aware of their obligations for project delivery.Review, as appropriate, non-compliance reports which may have an impact on the contract.Monitor and inspect the instrumentation and controls (I&C) erection/installation activities of the Contractor with regards to progress, compliance with the Contract and applicable codes/standards, quality, safety, and environmental acceptance.Review and approve Contractors I&C erection/installation work method statements. Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared for all relevant tasks.Review and approve site related I&C equipment design/engineering matters submitted by the Contractor.
