Baghdad

Manage various components within Technical and Vocation Education and Training (TVET 1) programme as well as providing technical and management support to wider projects across UNESCO. I led more than 20 national and international consultants to deliver key components of TEVT-1 programme at different stages. Part of my responsibilities was to manage and closely coordinate with projects’ stakeholders including Ministries of Education, Higher Education and Labor & social affairs and private sector representatives.

Iraq

Managed the (Building Capacities and Competencies of TVET Stakeholders) Programme which was part of (TVET-1) reform project across Iraq, funded by European Union and implemented in partnership between British council and UNESCO. I led the delivery team and international consultants to deliver the programmes objectives as per the organization and donor’s standards. I formed and chaired Technical Working group consisted of senior officials from six miniseries to deliver the project activities across 10 governates in Iraq.

Basra, Iraq

The project was to build a $ 21M 400/132/11 KV GIS substation for the Iraq Ministry of Electricity on behalf of Alstom Grid (Alstom General Electric joint venture), our main client in Basra- Faw. My role was to lead the engineering and administration departments. I was responsible for the planning and allocation of project resources. I had to ensure that we delivered within budget. I managed procurement, project logistics and activities. I also managed day to day project resources including staffing and expenditure. Using projectmanagement tools, I was able to ensure that deadlines were met and that the project came in within the agreed schedule.

Lead in-country marketing comping and link UETMT with Training and Development industry players within Oil and Gas sector in Iraq. I was responsible for (Briefly):1- Review company marketing materials and training catalogues2- Promote the company training and development capabilities across state and international oilcompanies3- Determine potential business in oil and gas sector and analysis the general training needs of IraqiWorkfares in Oil and Gas and how UETMT could fill the gap by providing variety of competencybased training activities

1- Responsible for all in-country activities related to Business Development on behalf of PetroSkills.2- Delivery of training programmes out of country (OOC) for Iraqi Engineers, technician and senior managers from Iraqi ministry of Oil, states oil companies and IOCs such as Shell, PetroChina, Lukoil and Exxon Mobile. 3- I had adual role which included Programme Manager and a lead Project Manager in Iraq for in-countryliaison4- Managing in-coutry logistics arrangements for hundreds of Iraqis participated in courses out of country 5- Day to day management as course liaison whilst trainees on course, assisting with any issues,managing and resolving issues

Responsible for operating a production line for PVC products. Trouble shooting issues; manage effectively a team of 6 technicians and workers to increase productivity.Key achievements:1- Maintenance interruption have been decreased significantly by applying regular maintenance schedule that would keep the production on2- Increase productivity in 3 months from 120 to 340 KG
