Solution provider for wastewater management projects. Responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring, and assessment of wastewater treatment systems. Responsibilities:• Perform structural analysis for civil structures (concrete, steel and aluminum).• Determination of required reinforcement for concrete structural members and required sections for steel and aluminum structural elements.• Develop technical evaluation checklists that cover constructed water wells, water/wastewater/stormwater networks, water storage tanks, water transportation equipment, and water disinfection units.• Perform hydraulic profile calculations for wastewater treatment plants.• Perform hydraulic calculations for open-channel flow systems.• Hydraulic calculations and assessment of water and wastewater transportation networks.• Design of water and wastewater treatment units and chains (centralized and decentralized systems based on requirements) that meet requirements of various contexts (e.g., topography, wastewater type, budget, energy budget, end-use of treated effluent, etc.).• Design of sludge digestion systems and sludge drying beds.

Responsible for supervising a team of graduate students working on a research project investigating the anaerobic digestion of multiple solid and liquid wastes streams. Also responsible for conducting exhaustive research and literature review, as well as organizing the tasks and flow of logic that guide my team.

Instructor for CIE 445 “Soil Mechanics Lab”; responsible for covering the following topics in soil mechanics lab tests: visual and manual classification techniques of soil, sieve analysis and Atterberg limits, specific gravity test using the pycnometer, sand cone test for in-situ density determinations, hydrometer analysis, standard and modified Proctor compaction tests, direct shear test for sand, 1D consolidation test on clay.Instructor for CIE 307 “Concrete Structures I-SOFT”; responsible for teaching Autodesk’s Robot Structural Analysis software where the following topics were covered: 2D frames consisting of beams and columns, analysis for normal, shear and moment forces and deformations, design of single columns and beams for providing reinforcement, design of 3D structures consisting of beams, columns and slabs of different types, design of MAT foundations, design for soil and wind loads, in addition to seismic analysis of entire structures
