Holding a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Ph.D. from the Colorado School of Mines, as well as an Executive MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, I blend deep technical expertise with strategic business acumen.My journey began with hands-on field measurements and belt scanning, leading to pioneering research during my master's and doctoral studies. I developed a dynamic model for conveyor systems and created one of the first discrete element models (DEM) for large-scale sublevel caving. This work was later applied to the groundbreaking simulation of conveyor transfer chutes in 1996, culminating in the development of the widely used Chute Maven software.Throughout my career, I've held senior engineering and executive management roles at global organizations such as Overland Conveyor, Sandvik, and Fenner Dunlop. My leadership has spanned continents, with professional stints in the United States, Chile, Brazil, Australia, Sweden, and Germany. As a registered professional engineer in Colorado, I have consistently leveraged my technical insights to drive business growth and operational excellence.Currently, as the Senior Vice President at Shaw Almex Industries Ltd., I oversee global services while continuing to advance technical innovation through the development of numerical models and simulations for conveyor systems. My latest project, Pulley Maven, is a state-of-the-art Finite Element Analysis (FEA) program that sets new standards in pulley design.Looking ahead, I am passionately exploring how artificial intelligence can revolutionize conveyor design, monitoring, and maintenance.
