Do you remember playing with Legos as a child? Even today spending time with my niece and nephews they’re a favourite past time. I love that starting with basic building blocks; separated they are a jumbled mess that can at times seem overwhelmingly complex. It’s only when you take a step back, look at the big picture and recognize how all the pieces fit together the beauty and utility in their design becomes evident. Those jumbled pieces form together to create some phenomenal outcomes with a bit of time and effort. Most importantly, when you’re collaborating with others to put it together it becomes easier, faster, more fun!I start with this analogy as I think of my professional life in very similar terms – I love to take complex situations, understand the parts, learn how they work together, and ultimately move towards a result that is far greater than the sum of the individual parts. As a leader, I invest in the people around me, celebrate their achievements and strengths, and recognize opportunities to take a step back, look at the big picture, adjust, and continue building towards a spectacular outcome. I am a 12-year veteran of the banking industry with experience in both retail and commercial banking/lending. I love that our customers see us as trusted advisors – they come to us with their needs, we provide the products, services, and advice to piece together their needs and provide a clear pathway to help them achieve financial success. In my current role as a Business Banking Manager, I’m able to provide coaching and guidance for my team to assist our premium small business customers. Our goal is to increase wallet and market share and have these customers trust Wells Fargo to be their primary bank for their depository, credit, and treasury needs. Outside of my primary work responsibilities I’m equally as passionate about building and developing not only our company’s culture but the community that I live in. I have served on and led Wells Fargo’s Pride Connection Employee Resource Network in DFW since 2010. I am the current Communications Chair and focus on providing consistent communication of the opportunities, programs, and resources available to our LGBTQIA+ identifying employees and allies across DFW. I also serve as Vice President of the Denton Parks Foundation, am a board member for the Denton Festival Foundation, serve on the United Way of Denton County’s Grant Review Committee, and serve on the Denton Chamber of Commerce’s Economic Development Investor Relations Committee.
