Maintain the software side of E-PGME, a joint venture with the Postgraduate Medical Education department at Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Coordinate with related software and IT infrastructure companies to manage budgets, app development, web, and windows services. Nurture and develop teams of developers; enhance skills for improving performance. Identify and improve best rapid application development frameworks, utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) and large data. Developed bespoke products for well-known customers and modules for large applications. Trained and led a team of three programmers. Administered various applications for .Net framework by moving from the alternate MVC experience of the catalyst framework in Perl. Designed jQuery widgets, ExtJS apps, WCF services for third parties, mobile apps in HTML 5, Silverlight, and MVC applications; collaborated with Microsoft Access moving projects to a vb.net environment. Operated LINQ, entity frameworks, and Microsoft SQL Server from their initiation to completion.Key Achievements:• Achieved claim lifecycle reduction up to 70%, while enhancing customer service by rewriting claims handling software for SBS insurance.• Improved process of providing replacement suggestions from 30 seconds to near instant by connecting the stock feed data of Amazon with GFK's product specification data.• Developed an API to computerise supplier order service by using in-house tools order goods for correct pricing and importing stock feed data from various sources.

On a self employed basis I developed a website for this International Charity with branches in Tokyo and Shanghai. The brief was to develop a website in English, Chinese and Japanese that can be used by locally employed staff to publicise the work of social entrepreneurs. I developed this using PHP/MySQL. I have received excellent feedback from the client on this project.

I was lucky enough to be given the role of being the lead developer in revamping a working education platform (simply-click.org) after only a short time working at this company. I was selected primarily due to my breadth of knowledge in programming as the website is written in three languages (vbscript, PHP and Perl). It was very rewarding and enjoyable work as it required customer interaction as well as some complex problem solving. Thermeon selected me as one of two employees to attend the YAPC::EU conference and I was very pleased to have been selected. I worked in both back and front-end and am a good designer. Many customers used ie6 and we paid close attention to keeping our websites compliant while using newer standards.

Created parts of the logic and workflow to generate insurance premiums from underwriting information. In addition I acted as the technical support for remote office working for the finance team. Brighter Business was a start up company which traded as a Lloyd’s coverholder (insurance intermediary).

Joined the International IT team and developed an application to read and update a Lotus Notes database using Domino which was later used on a worldwide basis. Also spent time in most of the International IT teams for work experience.
