About Huw Baker

I qualified as a Chartered Accountant at the tender age of 24 with a medium sized Cardiff firm. To gain experience of 'big business' I spent the first three years post qualification at Price Waterhouse. One of the most valuable experiences at PW was learning how to manage people.Over a 35 year period to December 2022 I built a practice in Merthyr Tydfil which serves the businesses in the Heads of the Valleys region and beyond. We provide all the services expected of a firm of Chartered Accountants but try to go the extra mile for our clients with additional services not usually associated with practices of Chartered Accountants. In December 2022 I disposed of my interest in the firm but remain as a consultant. Having passed the Joint Insolvency Examination Board final exams in 2011 I became eligible to join the Association of Business Recovery Professionals.
