Development Director and FellowAt Wolfson, I lead the college's Alumni & Development Office, responsible for fundraising, alumni relations and communications. Wolfson is one of Oxford's largest and oldest graduate colleges, with students and alumni from more than 100 countries across the world.

Led and managed a fundraising campaign in the UK and US which generated £11m in new funds for the Rothermere American Institute, Oxford’s department for teaching and research in American history, politics and culture. The RAI’s endowment grew from £4m to £12.5m. Role involved cultivating and securing major gifts in the UK and US; stewarding relationships with individuals and foundations who have given £1m+ to the Institute; devising and implementing fundraising initiatives to increase lower-level donations to the RAI; and working closely with the Institute’s Board of Advisors (Trustees), which advised on fundraising strategy.

Developed and oversaw the day-to-day running of the RAI’s fundraising strategy, identified and undertook research on prospective donors, assessed current donors for giving capacity and motivation, and explored and developed relationships with potential corporate sponsors and charitable trusts.

Devised and led Oxford University's annual week-long programme to promote state school applications to study history at Oxford; chaired discussion groups and tutorials on U.S. Civil Rights, American Slavery, The Russian Revolution, Reformation England, the 'Radical Reformation' in Europe.

Devised and supported the implementation of urban regeneration strategies for some of Britain’s most deprived communities at a London-based consultancy. Projects with central and local government clients included London Borough of Lambeth, Blaenau Gwent Borough Council, Wear Valley District Council, Islington PCT, Arts Council England, Department for Communities and Local Government.
