Specialising in Netezza, I have 30 years’ experience in the Data Warehousing, Information Management, and Analytics space - helping Enterprise customers harness innovative, disruptive technologies to increase their competitive advantage and profitability, whilst simultaneously reducing cost, risk, and time to value. With my company Smart Associates, I have led the development of innovative automation tools for managing a range of Netezza housekeeping tasks. Our flagship product, Smart Management Frameworks (SMF), enables Netezza customers to perform bi-directional database replication and dynamically create & synchronise their Active Directory/LDAP hierarchy as well as performing a number of key Netezza housekeeping tasks. Recently a customer in the US has taken advantage of the Database Replication as a Service feature of SMF to effortlessly move their Netezza data center interstate. As a center of excellence, Smart Associates provides ongoing Netezza after-life support for early generation Netezza customers around the globe, as well as helping migrate customers to IBM’s Netezza Performance Server and to provide ongoing Netezza managed services on-prem or in the cloud.
