It was my privilege to lead the organisation's policy and communications programmes, telling the story of why relationships matter to everyone from individuals and families to public policy makers and funders. Haringey Citizens Advice is a charity providing essential advice to local people on a range of subjects including housing, debt, benefits, employment and consumer issues. I sat on the Trustee board and chaired the Research and Campaigns Committee.

UEL is London's leading university for civic engagement. It was great to work for a higher education institution that prioritises making a difference to students, communities and business. I supported this by leading the university's corporate and digital marketing, fundraising and brand development.

I'm proud to have worked in such a great organisation making a difference to people's lives. My role involved:- Developing corporate communications and marketing strategy - Leading brand development from positioning to creative execution and style compliance- Implementing integrated campaigns across marketing, media, digital and public affairs- Issues handling and media crisis management- Stakeholder management across Government, public bodies and the voluntary sector- Creating innovative partnerships to engage the public in funding for communities- Leading and developing a team of 25 people- Initiating market research to inform strategy, improve services and measure performance including opinion polling, focus groups, deliberative workshops, media analysis, stakeholder mapping, segmentation- Leading customer services including call centres, product testing, satisfaction surveys, journey mapping
