Performed in various multi disciplinary roles including project management, technical leadership, business development, and software development.Worked on various projects related to Post Fukushima Seismic Probabilistic Risk Assessment (SPRA), included serving as technical lead for SSI analyses, performing Quality and Technical Calculation Review, and managing SASSI software development. Supported complex non-linear time history analyses for bridge structures featuring challenging soil conditions (liquefaction and lateral spreading) and evaluation of seismic isolation devices. As project manager, I was responsible for planning and coordinating the technical tasks related to seismic analysis, project delivery, and communicating seismic demands with bridge design teams. Performed in various technical roles, concentrating in dynamic model development, SSI analysis, and post processing. Specific projects include:Developed dynamic FEM models for SSI analysis to support design certification of KEPCO APR-1400 using GT-Strudl, SAP2000 and SASSI. Lumped Mass Stick model development for Soil-Structure Interaction (SSI) and Structure-Soil-Structure Interaction (SSSI) analysis for nuclear island structures (Powersource building, Reactor Building, and Auxiliary Building) using ACS-SASSI and ANSYS for Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in cooperation with URS.Dynamic analysis for the Washington Avenue Bridge Retrofit in Minneapolis, MN. Performed dynamic analysis to evaluate the retrofit design for inclusion of light rail for trains traveling at various speeds. Dynamic finite element models were developed for as-built and retrofit conditions using SAP2000.Performed soil-structure interaction analysis on the Goesgen Nuclear Powerplant in Danicken, Switzerland using SASSI. Analysis of the switchgear building in compliance with NRC guidelines. Finite element models were developed using RISA 3D.Modeled stress sequences in concrete and tension steel for a general design of a nuclear containment dome due to post tensioning for KEPCO engineering Korea using ABAQUS. 3D FEM simulates tensioning/jacking of the cable, locking of the tendon, and subsequently relaxation of the tendon with all associated states of stress able to be captured from the model.
