Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd is one of the biggest Japanese paper manufacturer engaged in paper manufacturing and related businesses. The company was listed under the world’s top 10 pulp and paper industry companies (RISI, 2011).I have worked with New Materials group researching innovative applications of biomass. My current study is waste-water from pulp mills. I assisted researchers determining and extracting oligo-saccharides from waste-water by chromatography, and filtration methods. Besides, minor study is bacterial cellulose synthesize.Skills acquired:• Familiar with Ion Exchange Chromatography,Fouier Transform Infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, acid-saccharification.• Bacterial cellulose synthesis from liquor medium.

Projects: Mechanical properties study on xylan filled polymers composites; rheological study of different fractions of nanofibrillar cellulose (NFC) suspensions; free-radical grafting synthesis of xylans in aqueous medium; study on NFC filled polyvinyl alcohol fiber; bacterial cellulose composites for bio applications; and mechanical properties of oxide cellulose composites. Skills acquired: Differential Scanning Calorimetry, Dynamic Mechanical Analysis, Thermal Gravity Analysis, Mechanical Tests, and Rheology Analysis, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, polymer synthesis, bacterial cellulose growth.

I am working on my thesis project “Thermal Analysis for Polymeric Material” at Polymer Laboratory at University of Helsinki. The analysis method is Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) to investigate thermal transition, crystallinity of new synthetic polymers e.g.

Binh Minh is the biggest plastic pipes manufacturer in Vietnam. Their products include PVC, PP-R, HDPE pipes and fitting range from 20mm to 1200mm diameter. I have finished 3 months practical training period at Binh Minh as a staff of Quality Assurance Department. I have experience in operating Krauss Maffei, Cincinnati extrusion, injection machines; checking pipe's specification; welding large diameter pipes and compounding.
