About Hugo Van Oostrom

I am a European Specialist in Veterinary Anaesthesia, providing high-end anaesthetic care to pets.Next to my clinical work, I devote time to education, attempting to improve the general standard in Veterinary Anaesthesia. I teach on the work floor, deliver lectures and courses, and I co-write book chapters in international anaesthesia hand-books.In my clinical work, I always try to strike the balance between swift progress of the procedure and guarding patient safety and welfare.My style of working could be typified as pragmatic; I don't deliver 'perfect' anaesthesia but (very) good anaesthesia at high speed, which ultimately benefits both the patient and the clinicians requesting my service.
