WinFS - “WinFS” was the codename for the new relational file system for Windows that provides a data platform for desktop developers.- Design and development of the schema used to store the different type of items (email, contacts, tasks, meetings, etc)- Designed and implemented synchronization configuration and discovery mechanism. The mechanism allowed third-party sync adapters to easily plug into WinFS sync model and be discoverable on the fly.- Design and development of a Sync Adapter for syncing the contents of user’s mailbox between Microsoft Exchange server and WinFS store. It used WebDAV protocol to talk to Exchange server and supported two-way sync for mail and contact items. - Designed and developed a prototype email application on top of the Sync Adapter.
